"Huh? The Bible actually says anything about art?"
Well, yea - it does. . .quite a bit, in fact.
What--if anything--should the church be doing in the world of arts, media, and entertainment?
What should individual Christians do?
And what about Christians who are gifted as artists?

IN ADDITION, we're presenting our first-ever ACWI art show and sale in connection with this workshop! It's an opportunity for Christian artists to exhibit artwork which is intended for a mainstream audience while being consistent with a Christian worldview. The art show begins Friday evening Nov. 5 (during the monthly First Friday art walk) and continues through the workshop on Saturday Nov. 6.

9:15-10:20 Redeeming Culture: The “How To” Guide: An exploration of how the Cultural Mandate for Christians informs how they live their lives and how God calls them to redeem culture.
10:30-11:35 The Bezalel Principles: Art, Taking Back What’s Ours: An in-depth examination of art and the artist in the Bible. Learn how important the arts are to God and how the church can rediscover a vital understanding of beauty.
11:40- 1:15 Lunch (on your own at local restaurants)
1:15-2:15 The Arts & The Church: Can There Ever Be Unity?: Many believe that neither the church nor the arts can be unified in a vision of glorifying God. Are the church and the arts enemies or allies? This lecture explores their historical relationship and proposes a radical relationship for the future.
